At Younger beauty we offer an advanced facial where science meets indulgence.
Prior to opening Younger Beauty I had received one of these facials. For days after patients were commenting on my skin and my fresh look not knowing that I had received this skin treatment and it definitely wasn’t for getting enough sleep after having my first baby!
My decision to open the Younger Beauty salon in Irby was to bring all the best technicians and the best products and equipment to create a one stop place for quality and experienced staff. In the different products and treatments on the market I met Grace Irons and Gail Proudman.
We combined our favourite skin techniques to create a bespoke advanced facial for each client. A dermaplane, enzyme peel, skin needling with hylaronic acid and to finish a collagen mask to nourish and hydrate tired and ageing skin.
This facial is the ultimate facial for erasing fine lines and wrinkles, improve facial sagging targeting the area below the skin between the dermis and epidermis. This stimulates repair and penetration of the applied hylaronic at the site of ageing creating a fresh youthful appearance improving skin tone and hydration.
What will I expect from my facial and will it hurt?
Initially Grace talked through my skin type and what I was looking to improve. We made a plan and she explained in detail what to expect and chose the products that were most suited to my skin type.
To begin with Grace did a dermaplane which is a treatment to exfoliate the skin. She used a blade to remove dead cells from the skin as well as the peach fuzz and facial hair creating a smooth appearance to the skin. This didn’t hurt at all and was rather satisfying seeing the dead skin cells and fuzz she had removed off my face! She will show you at the end if you are interested!
The next step is an enzyme peel which is a professional product which was chosen for my specific skin type. The peel is a versatile layering enzyme derived solution that immediately lifts skin cells for a quick polish and regenerating effect. Infused with Pineapple and Papaya based enzymes, L-Lactic, Acetic and Salicylic Acid, this 4.0 pH peel helps to smooth and even skin tone appearance and texture.
The next step is where the magic happens…. Micro needling! At Younger Beauty we use the precision plus machine for this part of the treatment. A high end pice of equipment with much better results than other skin needling techniques such as the dermal roller which is often used. The uniquely designed cartridge follows the contour of the skin and makes it easier to target problem areas, including wrinkles around the eye. This gentle treatment will not cause unnecessary trauma to healthy skin so, unlike other skin needling programmes, redness will subside within 1 to 2 hours leaving your skin visibly improved. This stimulates your natural collagen stores and will not scar or snag the skin. Whilst this is being done hylaronic acid and peptides are places on the skin encouraging maximum absorption into the layers of skin below the surface.
Does this hurt I here you ask?
I wouldn’t say it hurts. It’s uncomfortable in areas especially around the bony areas such as the cheeks and eye sockets. It feels a bit like a gritty vibration. I wouldn’t say it’s relaxing, however I’d take a little discomfort for a fresher more youthful looking appearance. The treatment produces a lifting effect while the hexapeptides interfere with the formation of wrinkles.
The last step is a hydrating mask which again was chosen for my specific skin type.
The results were amazing!
My skin felt quite tight, but wasn’t sore, and straight away I could see that my whole face looked plumped up and smooth. On returning home even my husband commented how good my skin looked! It must have looked good for him to comment.
The next morning my skin felt plump and amazingly hydrated. In clinic patients were commenting how well I looked! I felt fresh faced and had a spring in my step!!
