Permanent Laser Hair Removal
Here at Younger Beauty in Irby, we are one of the very few clinics in the Wirral offering the latest technology in permanent hair removal. We have a diode laser with three different wavelengths to treat all skin and hair types along with special cooling technology which provides a comfortable quick and effective treatment for hair removal.
There are various different types of laser hair removal on the market and I personally had tried IPL hair removal. I can’t say the experience, or the results amazed me, so I was intrigued to find out about the latest technology.
Laser light is used to target the Melanin in the hair follicle causing the hair follicle to die. Our laser machine has three different wavelengths. The benefit of this being different wavelengths target different hair colours. This allows hair removal for all hair types except red hair as opposed to the traditional only dark hair abilities of the older technologies.
Many people are apprehensive at the thought of laser hair removal, but there really is no need. Our laser hair aesthetic technicians will answer all the questions you have and make you feel at ease throughout the whole process.
What will happen in my first appointment?
When you first visit the clinic, you will be booked in for a consultation and patch test. This allows you to discuss with either Nicky or Collette what areas you are looking to have treated. Nicky and Collette will advise you on what we can do and how many sessions may be required. On average, six sessions are usually required; however, different areas may need more or less. During this appointment, you will also have your patch test. This is where a patch of skin next to the area being treated will be tested for responsiveness to laser light. The purpose is not to see if it works but allow us to find out what energy to use on your skin for optimal results.
